🚨 NOTICE OF SAFETY DRILL
Tomorrow, September 22, 2026, Laurens High School will conduct a safety drill beginning at approximately 10:20 AM.
The drill will include a school lockdown followed by classroom evacuation procedures.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office will assist Laurens High School administration and staff during the drill. Please be aware that there will be an increased law enforcement presence on campus tomorrow morning.
This is only a safety drill.

🎓 Winter Graduation Ordering – Class of 2026! 🎓
Jostens will be at Laurens District 55 High School on Monday, October 19, from 11:45 AM–1:20 PM to assist our winter graduates with ordering their graduation needs.

Laurens District High School Early Dismissal Procedures
Early Dismissal Requests must be submitted via the Google Form by 10:00 a.m.
The Attendance Office will verify each early dismissal request by calling the parent/guardian using the contact information on file in PowerSchool. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure all contact information in PowerSchool is current.
The Early Dismissal Google Form will NOT be monitored after 10:00 a.m.
Students with student driver privileges must report to the Front Office at their designated dismissal time to sign out before leaving campus.
Students who are being picked up must be signed out by a parent/guardian or an authorized contact listed in PowerSchool. Anyone picking up a student must present a valid photo ID.
Early dismissals do not constitute an excuse for missed class time.
Requests After 10:00 a.m.
After 10:00 a.m., a parent/guardian or authorized emergency contact must come to the school to sign the student out in person. Phone calls will not be accepted for early dismissal requests.
As always, early dismissals are not permitted after 3:00 p.m.

Vehicles should enter and line up along Raider Road/State Road S-30-497, forming two lanes of traffic. As vehicles reach the school entrance gate, the two lanes should alternate one vehicle at a time through the gate, then return to two lanes once inside. Continue following the marked traffic circle toward KC Hanna Stadium. At the stadium area, the two lanes will zipper merge by taking turns—one vehicle from each lane at a time—and then continue along the designated traffic flow. Please remain in your lane, follow the vehicle ahead of you, and do not cut in front of other vehicles.
TIME CHANGE: JV Football vs JL Mann will be pushed back to a 6:30pm start time tomorrow. Hopefully, this will allow us to get into a safety zone with the Wet Bulb temperature.
